Who We Are
Post 26 is part of the largest wartime veterans service organization in the country, neighbors from every era of service who keep showing up for one another and for Bakersfield.
Our Story
Chartered in 1919, Post 26 has been a fixture of downtown Bakersfield for more than a century. Our halls are lined with the portraits of the members who came before us. That history is what we protect.
Today the post is a gathering place: meetings and buddy checks, dinners and live music, ceremonies and fundraisers. Every honorably discharged veteran is welcome through the door.
